This week we are in Italy, exploring the work of Pablo Trincia.
Pablo Trincia is already well-known to the Italian general public as a television journalist, becoming the most famous Italian podcaster thanks to Veleno, an investigatory podcast published by the online newspaper Repubblica which has had an enormous success.
Veleno is a work that reconstructs a story that happened twenty years ago, when in northern Italy sixteen children were forever removed from their families, as these families were unjustly accused of being part of a sect of pedophile Satanists.
Trincia has created another podcast, called Buio.
In his most recent work, Trincia is searching for stories of adversity - focusing on stories of individuals who have overcome dark times and found the light. These stories include the longest kidnapping in Italy, a family overwhelmed by a tsunami, the survivor of a shootout and a man who saw his three daughters killed by his wife. Trincia explores the stories of these survivors and takes us on a journey with them.
