The British Podcast Awards powered by DAX have released their nominations for this year which has seen newcomer George The Poet, score a massive six nominations - the most in the awards' history. Other nominees include a huge cross-section of the sector with independent creators alongside production companies like Pixiu and Whistledown, publishers like The Guardian and Economist, radio stations like Radio X and Fun Kids and organisations like the UNHCR,Somerset House and the BBC. But if podcasters weren't lucky enough to get a nomination, there's still a chance with the annual Listeners' Choice awards supported by BBC Sounds. Any UK podcast is eligible for entry, and all creators have to do is encourage their fans to vote for the at britishpodcastawards.com/vote - the top 20 with the most votes will be revealed just before the awards.
